Opinion | Credit to the Carolinas

I think its great that the National Guard is on duty to aid in bringing residents to safety but they "residents" were warned several times over the past week that this was going to be bad. Does it take a refrigerator floating by your rocker recliner to motivate people these days? Oh and while I am at it whats with the ARNG pulling boats in ankle to knee deep water to haul some of these people out so their socks don't get wet. I would say We need to use these boats for the invalids or senior citizens who need a boat. Everyone else, "y'all put your mudders or hip waders on and follow us out ya hear!" You stayed you can walk!

Nicholas Muhar, who captured the simple reality of how so much good work gets done fast. “We’ve just been running and running and running,” said Sgt. Muhar. “It’s just: next thing, next thing, next thing. Just do it. Get it done.”
