After returning from the Territory of Hawaii, I started 6th grade in Lake City, Florida while my dad was at OCS in Rhode Island. A few months later we were in Millington, Tennessee for his Aviation Maintenance Officer course and then on to Sunnyvale, California for his assignment with VR-8 at Moffatt Field NAS.....been there, done that.

We have policies in place in Fairfax to ease military kids transitions. It's better than it used to be. Now both the school systems and the military via MCEC work to make it easier for kids. We had ours in DoDDS schools for 9 consecutive years.
