SGT William Howell - I said nothing about you or any political party you may subscribe to. You accuse me of "knee jerk" assumptions. Are you not doing the very same thing here?

SGT William Howell - They certainly lean toward the left, but they have Pulitzer prize winning journalists and real news. And they do publish pro-T opinions occasionally. They should give credit where credit is due. Here's one for you: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/16/opinion/sunday/war-trump-islamic-state.html?_r=0

SSG (Join to see) - I understand you don't admire awards, but they are based on integrity and ability to write. It's a standard, just like in any profession. National Review is conservative, and it's won all kinds of them. Part-time journalists probably aren't career journalists. There are way too many who put up a website and write about their opinions. I've seen a lot of made up stories, not just a right or left slant (which I expect). I do agree that among all those in the media, there are those I trust and read, and those I don't. I certainly don't know them all, so I'm not aware of any part-time ones who get it right most of the time. Do you have an example?

SGT William Howell - I must disagree with you on this. People love to hate the Times, but usually they base it on a piece they don't like, when they don't follow it regularly. On the whole, it's recognized they lean left, but it's still real news, not made up stories. People who lean right just don't like their spin. That's why I like the National Review. They are conservative with real journalists and spin right. The Times is easy to hate because they are the big gorilla in the room. They have been upfront that every side isn't "balanced"--for example, they aggressively went after the irregularities of the Clinton Foundation taking donations from foreign countries, and wrote about that a lot. But they've also said it would be ridiculous for them to ignore half the country, which they attempt not to do (not always successfully). It's human for us to dislike news that doesn't go along with our world view, however. We all do it, I certainly do.

Wow. What a racist article. If the same article was published about Barak Obama the world would be alight with everyone crying racism. This is an overtly racist article by a “news agency” which has stopped publishing news and now seeks to defame a sitting president at any cost. Utterly sad.

The "man-as-messiah" part scares me because I see it every day.

Trump would really benefit from tattooing this on the hand that holds his phone.
