What amazes me is that the fires are on mostly Federal lands, and PG&E Lines run mostly on Federal lands. Why has PG&E not pressured the Government to help them clear the areas the line run. Cutting power is not going to solve this problem.

Also CA has never cleaned their land. But they are quick to ask for Fed money. Everyone knows that dead wood feeds fires. Get rid of it. Hire the homeless...win win...

Well of course they ask for federal money, it is federal land. If you were to look at a map of Cal forest and grasslands you see that the majority is federal. If you hire the homeless as is your plan, who pays them, State or Federal? If you say State,then clear only the State Land. If you say Federal, then we are back to who pays.

Every year, less money is provided to fire crews to hire more fire fighters nationally. If they were to receive funding, they would have more crews to clean up the tinder. Well lets say, I would hope they would hire to clean up the tinder on fed lands.
