Paralyzed Veteran, Shot After Cardinals Game, Goes Home

Army Veteran Chris Sanna returned home Monday for the first time since he was shot and paralyzed after a Cardinals game in downtown St. Louis.
Sanna was celebrating his mother's 60th birthday at the Cardinals game on September 25 when he was shot during an armed robbery while walking back to their car, which was parked at the Old Cathedral.
"It's just incredible. I rememeber looking over at Lisa and saying I can't feel my legs," Chris Sanna remembers. For him, this moment has been four grueling months in the making.

It is great Chris survived and is going home. That being said, Veteran, Active, Reserve, Civilian, kids or adults - no one deserves to be the victim of a crime. Chris gave to his country and apparently made it back all right, only to be victimized while celebrating his Mom's 60th Birthday at a Cardinals game by thug(s). Prayers are with Chris and his family.

And the city wonders why really nice places to go are closing. Its because no one wants to go down there anymore. Its a bad place and I have lived here for 58 years. Responsibility is on the shoulders of the Liberal Mayor. He has sure made it less safe with his policies.
