I have recommended the Hillsdale free course on the Presidency, but if you watch only one class, make it this one. This class directly addresses the problems we see today, a growing cynicism of government. We accept the lies of politicians because we can't see how a politician can function without lies. This one class will help you understand how we all became cynics.
