The president is the commander and chief of the armed forces. He is he top dog in the org chart. The fact that some might view his involvement as an intervention is a part of the problem. Also, the military court marshal process is not really doing a great job.

I thought he had already restored the Chief's rank. And if the Pentagon didn't railroad people this wouldn't be necessary.

Trump will press on as he listens to no one. He feels entitled to a victory.win in this matter. He loves the military and "his" generals. He is a 5 time draft dodger, and no one in his 3 generation family has ever served. He lacks discipline and no respect for organizational hierarchy. He craves all attention he gets, + or -.

How do you know that Trump didn't listen to advice, take it under advisement and then say "you are an idiot!" Advice is just that, a suggestion and Trump the Chief Executive doesn't have to take a suggestion as an order from a subordinate. You do understand the chain of command right? Shit rolls down hill, always has and always will and right now, Donald J Trump is all of the military's Commander in Chief and your President.
