Two thoughts: in 26 years a sailor and 21+ years in four civilian companies did I ever stand in front of my people and say, "Lot going on today. I want you to get out there and be average".
Fun exercise, at the feed store, getting your oil changed, at the school ball games, ask the kid "ever think about a military career?" Then listen to them.

Listening to them would shock them
BTW 17.3% of active duty was female in 2021. 21.4% of the guard and reserve are female.
Throw in LGBT and how in the world do you replace those people. Their experience is irreplaceable. Can't be done.

I saw one of those commercials from the Army be all you can be gay female and join the US military. They made it look all campy. Adding covid-19 restrictions and kicking people out of the military has probably been the worst thing they could have ever have done and the silliness and crazy Madison Avenue approach hasn't done as much damage as the covid-19 mandates have done. We lost three divisions of soldiers and you wonder why?
