Good post. The fuzing for ordnance is hard to perfect in many instances. Sub-munitions in a cluster bomb have a dismal failure rate but still work well over-all. I think by banning them we are limiting the response needed in certain circumstances. Anti-tank/anti-materiel scenarios come to mind. Tested tons of that stuff at Eglin AFB and am certain that we can still use them and get the job done. Plus, it is job security for us to take care of the duds! LOL

If we had fought the Revolutionary War in a manner that was considered "moral" for the time, we wouldn't be here having this conversation right now. Morality doesn't win wars, lethality does.
