No glory for traitors
While I am one of those that would not change anything and have some choice words for those that want them changed, here are my suggestions.
- Fort Bragg: Fort Donlon, in honor of COL Roger HC Donlon, Special Forces, 1st MoH in Vietnam
- Fort Rucker: Fort Crandall, in honor of COL Bruce Crandall, Army Aviator, MoH Ia Drang, Vietnam
- Fort Benning: Fort Moore, in honor of LTG Hal Moore, Commander 1-7 Cav in the Ia Drang, from
"We were Soldier once and Young"
- Fort Gordon: Fort York, in honor of Alvin C York, MoH World War I, ,initial military training at Fort
Gordon, service as a Signal Corps Officer in World War II
- Fort Hood: Fort Murphy, in honor of MAJ Audie L Murphy, MoH World War Two, Native Born Texan
- Fort Polk: Fort Poolaw, in honor of 1SG Pascal Poolaw, 3 CIBs Most Highly Decorated Native
American, served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam
- Fort A.P. Hill: Fort Miyamura, in honor of SSG Hiroshi Miyamura, MoH Korea, POW Korea, served
with the 442 Infantry in WWII
- Fort Belvoir: Rename to it's original name, Fort Humphries in honor of Union Army General A.A.
Humphries, it was renamed in 1930 to honor a local Virginian
- Fort Lee: Fort Doss, in honor of Army Medic Desmond Doss, MoH Hacksaw Ridge, Okinawa saved up
to 100 wounded men by lowering them down a cliff, despite being wounded four times
himself.

These men are all Heroes and are deserving of recognition.

Also recommend renaming one installation, Fort Pitts, after CPT Leroy Pitts, African-American Medal of Honor recipient, given posthumously by President Johnson on December 10, 1968 for heroism during the Viet Nam War. I believe he is the only African American MOH recipient from the State of Kansas.
