From my understanding, this was her second time around on the first, just her first day back on active Duty. Either way that's sad...

I didn't see it was her second time around. I listened to the radio traffic and it sounded more like an ambush.

1SG (Join to see) - Not her second time as I previously stated. However she graduated in June, and was just now being sworn in, to be active duty.

If this is about the Prince William Shooting, The shooter was a Male SSG who had just shot his wife. The Officers responding where ambushed. All three officers were shot, one was killed. She had just been sworn in the day before and this was her first day on patrol. The other two officers are still being treated, I think. Unfortunately, the powers that be will see this as reason to further restrict gun ownership by veterans. I feel for the families that lost loved ones and I think the NCO should be hung out to dry.

Us veterans don't have guns anyway. It all depends on the state we are in and our marital status. I know single soldiers don't want to sign weapons in an out of the arms room. The SSG was out of control, and sadly he wanted to go out with a bang it seems.

Sad event, which happened just down the road from where I live. Now of course because of this SSG being the accused, congress is going to grill our leaders and the Army as a whole will have to endure some other hour plus long training that Soldiers/Leaders aren't going to pay attention to or attend if they can help it. In a time when we (the Army) is going to get blamed for not taking care of this guy in a more proper way. Oh and it doesn't matter that he is a SSG who just happened to have worked at the Pentagon, oh it doesn't matter that he is a Grown Man who made a decision and now has to live with the consequences. What happen to the days where people were held responsible for their crimes, and decisions? Instead we blame that person's Leaders, organization, parents, friends, everyone but the person who did it.
