Pentagon Tells US Military Bases to Stop Selling ZTE, Huawei Phones

Banning Huawei and ZTE phones seems ignorant, given that ALL mobile phones are built either in part or entirely in China and so could pose similar risks. Is this just xenophobia, or is there something different in these phones? I don't know the answer, but let's say I'm skeptical

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint - I have no doubt other bad actors are in the game. China, the Soviet, I mean Russia and likely every middle eastern shit hole out there are after anything we have.

As far as domestic monitoring goes, being an EOD guy I probably say "bomb", "IED", "explosion" or "shooting" once or twice a DAY! I sneak "nuke" or POTUS in once a week. I'm probably on every phone, email and internet list out there! I guess it's the price we pay. Too bad my clearances have expired! Hahaha

With the old phones you could disconnect the battery. I don't know if there is any way to do it today. Maybe somebody smarter that I will chime in. You know they are monitoring us! Hahahaha

About frigging time!!! Selling Huawei products is like selling Claymore mines in the PX.... probably not a smart thing to do...and not good for organizational security.
