Unless things have changed in the few years since I had a working exposure with them, they don't have a 'self-destruct' mechanism, but they do have a 'remote zero' ability (like wiping your phone remotely).

Since we had control of the drone and the link was working, we would have zeroed it out so no encryption keys, flight paths, intelligence gathered, etc. would be recoverable if the drone were to be found.

However, agree with destroying the rest of it.
