People are boycotting LA Fitness over racist incident, despite apology

My friend Charlie Peacock wrote, “We can only possess what we experience. Truth, to be understood, must be lived...”

LTC Jeff Shearer, if you have never experienced this… you can easily relegate it to, as you so eloquently put it, “extra stupid shit.”

Some of us see and/or observe and/or experience this on a daily basis.

Surely, there exist competing constructs of secular and nonsecular, formal and informal, and vertical and horizontal command and control historiographies—most recently referred to by the pejorative 'deep state'—that oppose your view, Sir. Arguably, all this chatter measurably "persona-fies" Newton's Third Law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. When I was in uniform we called it OPFOR, Red Flag, Red Teaming, Counterintelligence, Scrimmaging, even "extra stupid shit."

Capt Dwayne Conyers - Dwayne I am not going to say my planet was a groovy place but I will say if you worked with me you would find; I pretty much expected close to miracles from my guys all the time. Some of the big things are if you were in my unit I loved you, regardless of your of anything you were part of my family. Over the many years I did this there have been a few times that got tested, and I will just say you dont mess with my family. Dwayne I have had guys that moved on as they progressed and some left the unit because they were dirtbags. The dirtbag group sometimes might get a second chance if certain criteria was met others became persona non grata, never to return. The above decisions were always made because of standards not being mets one way or another but they were never about race, religion, or musical taste.

I am certainly not saying racism is not alive and well because it is. What I am saying I never had time for stupid shit. I had a mission to prepare for and all of my unit was key in making that happen regardless what you looked like or who you prayed to. I hope I am not making this more confusing as I try to clear it up.

This happens more than one may imagine. I have experienced this... although it was not national news.
