So good of them to tell the world our battle plans. I understand that this is a PAO and IO campaign, but...
Additionally, I feel that this will only spur on additional attack and the call for attacks in America to "show the world" that ISIL is not degraded and they are still fully capable, if even in their own minds.

CW3 Eric W. S. I'm curious as to why we are not hearing more about Kobani. If one looks at this battle, it shows the weakness and ineffectiveness of ISIS against poorly armed but very determined citizens of Kobani who stood their ground.
ISiS made propaganda films of their captured British journalist saying that they were doing well in Kobani when in fact they were losing ground. Of course they are going to do this. They are also going to claim responsibility for every wacko jihadist inspired attack whether they had anything to do with it or not because it builds their image.
I'm also curious as to why we are not hearing about the actions of Abu Sayyaf in the Philippines. They continue to move forward with their raids and reign of terror unconstrained in spite of their leader being killed in a raid in Syria and his wife being taken captive and held in Iraq.
There's lots going on that it seems is being overlooked

CPT (Join to see) - I am going to be very blunt, so I expect several down votes on this one...
American and western European socio-political sensitivities have made it a hate crime to call out radical islam for what it is. The situation in Kobani, according to all the non-US/Europe media is because the Kurds are taking it to them and anything pro-Kurd would likely be deemed Islamophobic. Nobody is going to admit that the Kurds are winning, because Turkey doesn't want that an the Western 'niceties' and fear of being branded a racist, a bigot, or Islamophobe will not allow Turkey or any other Islamic based nation to have their feelings hurt.
The claims by ISIS on the "wacko jihadist inspired attack" is an immediate and free propaganda element that helps to radicalize others. if they claim "we did that; we inspired that; we facilitated that" their international acclaim gains traction amongst the ones more likely to radicalize. It is free press at the price of a few key strokes and the western world openly and graciously allows it to happen.
I understand that the POA officer was only a mouthpiece for what he was ordered to say, in a very tightly scripted and rehearsed fashion. The sad truth of the matter is that we are going to see backlash against innocent civilians in those areas for "our Zionist arrogance". Attacks will increase in the periphery regions over the next week or so. This is the easiest way to show the populace that "Americans are lying again".
I don't follow the Philippines, as I am currently in Afghanistan, so I am going to refrain from comment on that one.

CW3 Eric W. S. They claim everything because it helps their cause and their recruitment. I'm well aware that western media doesn't cover the ME as it should. The point is that they were able to hold off a well armed group with limited resources. You're right Turkey doesn't want to see a Kurdish state formed, which is why they are supporting groups that are against the Kurdish government while at the same time allowing the U.S. to use their Air base to launch from to attack ISIL. We are arrogant I'll give you that but what hurts us most is failing to understand the larger picture. We are going to see an upswing in attacks yes, but it isn't going to be because of this news release or our arrogance. It's going to happen because it is spring and this is when (especially Afghanistan) the fighting commences after the lull of winter.
