Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture (Finale)

Excellent piece of classical music.

Not really into classical, but have always loved this

SGT (Join to see), when we lived in Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra directed by Erich Kunzel would perform outside concerts throughout the summer all over the city. The series would end on July 4th, and Kunzel would have a cannon battery firing at the appropriate times during the playing of the 1812 Overture. It was fantastic and we saw it many times!
This video says this is Erich Kunzel directing but I'm fairly certain it's not! He never wore a uniform and how he would have gotten the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force make the title suspect! Nonetheless, you get the idea. It was great fun!
