A majority of voters believe the economy under President Joe Biden will worsen over the next year, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll. Sixty-five percent of respondents said the economy is "headed in the wrong direction," while 52 percent said it will get worse in 2023, the poll found. Sixty-seven percent of those polled, meanwhile, rated the strength of the economy negatively, compared with 32 percent who rated it positively.

Economic pessimism is strongest among Republicans, with 83% expecting the economy to worsen. Slightly more than half of independents feel that way, while 22% of Democrats do.
"Our economic diagnostics have become partisan, if there was a Republican president, we might see the reverse."
I'm in that "Slightly more than half of independents" crowd and I strongly agree with the pollster's comments. My view - when your stance on your personal economic situation is colored by your politics rather than your 'objective reality' ... just absolute insanity.

I haven't said anything to HH6 yet, but I'm worried how we're going to pay for things (we are both disabled), even when Trump was in office things were tight but now. I can't remember the last time we've gone out, haven't seen a movie in years. We used to get a couple carts of food on our budget, but now we're lucky to get one, we've cut out alot of things we used to get (but we still get coffee Lt Col Charlie Brown )
