Pope Francis washes the feet of Muslim migrants, says we are ‘children of the same God’

I have been engaging in discussion with several others over the course of this week the nature of Jesus' message to us. What better time to consider these questions than Holy Week? Easter is the biggest holiday in the church calendar. Christmas is great, but really Easter is what tells us the essential story. A story of triumph, redemption, selfless service, torture in the face of righteousness, the darkness of death, and the victory of resurrection.

As I have contended elsewhere THIS is the example that Christ would have us follow. Humility, love, and accepting the stranger to our breasts. I have never been a pope fan before, but I believe this guy has a handle on Christ's message in his rejection of the flash, the pomp, and the emphasis on wealth and maintaining the status quo. He is a rebel- line Christ was a rebel. He believes in radical love that transcends imaginary boundaries set by man.
