President Obama seeks $10-per-barrel oil tax to fund clean transport

He's not out of his mind, he told us his policies would increase energy prices. The people out of their mind are those that didn't listen to him and take him at his word. Then again, there are those who still support him who think it's a good idea.

So, how does that work, import tax on oil imported and a tax on that recovered from our lands in the USA. Since the need for oil is decreasing at this time there would be lesser oil available for use here. And we thought when the price of coal would skyrocket under his term, guess he wants to take us into a third world economy through the taxes on energy, in general. Look at what is happening today as the OP noted, anytime that politicians mess with a normal capitalistic routine, the citizens lose due to unexpected consequences. No new taxes, just be more efficient with what you get now. NO pork! Just fix our infrastructure that is so degraded due to the miss use of highway funds.

He has always said he wants oil to be higher. that's why I had to almost laugh when Dems take credit for lower gas prices.
