Professor Tweets That White People Should "Commit Mass Suicide"

This kind of logical fallacy is utterly moronic. It's so moronic, that you can't even begin to quantify it without using exponents to grasp its full scale.

It's the same kind of logic that says if you're a male, you're complicit in rape because you have a penis.

It's the same kind of logic that says if you're black, you're a worthless human being who has no rights or values (because that's what the term "n*gger" was used to state with respect to the value of black people...by making them LESS than human).

It's quite literally saying that the "sins of the father are to be laid upon the children".


I'm sorry, Mr. Kotsko (I refuse to use the honorific "Professor" or "Doctor" because it's quite evident that he is educated WAY beyond his intelligence), but that's not how life works. If this were the case then every single person on this planet ought to kill themselves over the issue of slavery alone because (and pay attention here, Mr. Person Who Has A PhD In Theology, Ethics, And Culture) SLAVERY HAS EXISTED IN THE HISTORY OF ALL HUMANITY ON THIS PLANET.


Regardless of our past, we're SUPPOSED to go forth and DO BETTER. That applies to everybody, everywhere.

I do not care that blacks have been enslaved, whites have been enslaved, Chinese have been enslaved, Mayans have been enslaved, Jews have been enslaved, women have been enslaved, children have been enslaved, or anybody else have been enslaved in the past...
EXCEPT that this be an HONEST record of human history.

What I DO care about is that we DON'T DO THIS ANY MORE.

HOWEVER...it's a fact that slavery DOES exist in several forms and in several levels even today. THIS I CARE ABOUT.

"Human trafficking" is a modern euphemism for sex slavery. It exists. It needs to be fought wherever it's found...and not by killing all the white sex slaves in order to meet Mr. Kotsko's twisted ideology, because that won't end it.

Governments still enslave their citizens in a variety of ways, from totalitarian forms of government to governments who enslave portions of their own citizens through programs specifically designed to make people totally dependent upon their government and manipulate their behavior accordingly. This needs to be fought, too...and not by killing all the white people in order to meet Mr. Kotsko's twisted ideology, because that won't end it.


In short, Mr. Kotsko needs to have a nice, piping hot cuppa STFU with a side order of Slap In The Face By Reality.

LOL. If he holds that position after demonstrating some leadership (by going first), then I'll be right along after him.
