Proposed Cuts Could Force Coast Guardsmen to Do More with Less

One thing to get straight is that this is not the administrations budget proposal to the house. I've seen this story at least a hundred times now. Some mention this fact, though not very clearly, others don't. Every time I've seen it, I could tell from the comments that everyone missed that little fact. This is a preliminary draft from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to the administration. We'll have to see if these cuts do make it into the real Budget Proposal to Congress. The last several Budget Proposals from the administration were far less then what was needed, and the House increased what was asked for each time.

Pretty sure they've been at that table for years.
