Protests in cities large and small over immigration policy

I DO NOT BLAME THE PROTESTERS ONE BIT. HOW I PRAY FOR ALL IMMIGRANT FAMILIES.

Congress you passed the law, protesters should be on your doorstep

We had them at our office in Vermont today. The officers that work here don't even arrest people, we have no holding cells, and nothing to do with what the Border Patrol does. We provide mission support for our ICE field offices, and general support and assistance for law enforcement agencies nationwide. Two days ago, they protested at the federal building in downtown Burlington, VT, where there are no ICE or Border Patrol offices in that building.

It's not that complex; you cannot cross illegally with children and expect them to put the children in adult detention facilities with the parents, and you cannot come to a Port of Entry with a child seeking asylum while carrying drugs or being previously deported. If you cross illegally, regardless of your goal and circumstances, there will be issues. If you seek entry at a POE and have previous immigration issues, there will be new issues for you. If you seek at entry at a POE and have no issues and ask for asylum, you will be processed, allowed entry, and given notice for future hearings.
