As the Surgeon General went over the other night; the cloth masks are to help in you protecting others if you have the virus but are not aware you have it. It is not meant to protect you from getting the virus.

That is also what I was told by the doctor who works at our plant, most mask are to protect others from you, not protect you from them.

And that’s the problem. Once a segment of Americans found out that the mask was for the benefit of those around them they decided it was dumb and inconvenient.

The mask are there to protect everyone else from you, not you from them, having the right mask will help, but they don't stop everything.

GySgt Thomas Vick That is not an entirely accurate statement. Why might you ask? Because a lot of the N95 mask in use currently are industrial N95s that actually have exhalation vents. Surgical N95s and a lot of industrial N95s though do not have the vents.
