MAJ Byron Oyler - More specifically the suprise attack on Pearl Harbor was in response to crippling sanctions being impose on Japan. Japan only had two courses of action from the sanctions withdraw from occupied territories or take the United States out of the picture. Russia will face the same choice if we are not careful. Yes we want them out of the Ukraine and Crimea but we also don't want to back them up against a wall so they only have two choices, like we did Japan. At least not until they get a lot weaker militarily then they are now.
