I wonder... Did Kim extend his invitation expecting President Trump to decline and was surprised when he accepted. Reminds me of sending wedding invitations to relatives you really don't like, you only want a present. It seems to have worked in the past with other US Presidents like Bill Clinton who sent a couple of nuclear reactors and a fat check (even better than silverware or a toaster oven)...
