50 years ago today on October 31st 1975, Queen released Bohemian Rapsody...Yes!
It’s one of the most iconic rock songs ever made — written by Freddie Mercury, blending rock, opera, and ballad styles into one masterpiece. At the time, no one had heard anything like it. The song topped charts worldwide, and its six-minute length broke all the “radio rules” of the day.
Fun facts:
The operatic section took three weeks to record.
The music video (shot before MTV existed!) helped pioneer the modern music video format.
