R. Lee Ermey Geico Commerical.avi

I was never a Drill Instructor but sometimes feel the role of R. Lee Ermey in this commercial while at work when communicating with team members. It all goes back to Fort Benning Infantry OSUT where they trained you to be direct and candid with your communication instead of diplomatic and flowery. I wonder how many former Infantrymen out there have the same experience. For me the training was a long, long time ago but every once in a while I slip a little and well...........we don't have "hurt feelings reports" at work but I get the indirect feedback sometimes to be more like Dr. Phil. It hasn't really hurt me in my career but is a nuisance.
