Raid at Cabanatuan (1945) - ShadowSpear Special Operations

Today in 1945: One of the Alamo Scouts on the reconnaissance, future CSM Galen Kittleson, would have a break in service and decades later would be the oldest soldier on another great raid; Operation KINGPIN at Son-Tay. I've been fortunate enough to visit the memorial at Cabanatuan.

thanks for Honoring the raiders of the Cabatanatuan Camp... It is a Most Impressive Story and the memorial is striking to see...
Saw it many times when we were In PI...
