There is significant evidence that many of the (dates of) holidays we celebrate are based upon the cycle of pagan celebrations. That was done to make the baby steps of pagans easier to take ... one of the definitions of "Ecclesiastical Economy". However, the fact that we celebrate some of the major Christian Holidays on that cycle (or for that matter named them differently from the Eastern Church), does not in and of itself prove that the events celebrated on these dates are not factually true or valid. The Anglo-Saxon Pagans celebrated "Eostre", Anglo-Saxon Christians celebrated the Resurrection on "Easter". Do you really believe that the name alone is proof of something nefarious. It certainly does not make for a very strong case from a legal point of view. PAX
