An interesting possible alternate approach to law, esp if one adds a paralegal as well as the USPTO exam I'd just also sent in just now...

I have worked with my company’s patent lawyers on a few patent applications. It is funny to me that once they take my ideas and turn then into legaleese it is hard to even for me as the inventor to understand what is intended! I give them credit for doing it though since I certainly wouldn’t want to. Then when you have questions or comments from the examiner it gets even more complicated!

Basically you could call the person an L A, lawyers assistant, like a P A.

I understand why you might think that however, that wasn't my point. Doing reading law can actually let one become an attorney, I'd !merely suggested a paralegal, which is differemtz as I've understood, from a legal assistant, and the USPTO Edam, as means to eat and work while reading law to sot for a bar exam, that was actually what I'd intended to suggest, glad was of interest, many thanks.
