I have nothing to add to the story of Mulan or concerning the Disney film. Hopefully, the popularity of the story and the interest surrounding the release of the film is sufficient to justify this posting. I am, however, drawn to the English usage of this article, especially one word, "existent", as in "We do not have existent evidence to prove Mulan is a historical figure who lived during a particular time. However, things are complicated..." Does that make sense to you? I would've used "extant", but then I am more concerned with English usage than most. What actually caught my attention is the fact that this occurred in an article written and appearing in a publication from Great Britain. Apparently, the King's/Queen's English is beginning to suffer the same fate as American English

Most in HK learned the Queens English. It will give the UK something to worry about...

The English has difficulty speaking “real”English. I have to converse with Merchant Marine Staff from around the world with no difficulty understanding them. The English on the other hand, it’s like “huh?, what, say that again?”.
