I'm more of a point shooter, focus only when the shot is critical.

I need to practice point shooting, I am more a front sight focus shooter.

Front sight is better, but I used to practice both in my badge carrying years. It’s best to be good at both methods. The method you use depends on the situation, sometimes all you have time for is point and shoot.
