The answer to your question is yes, it is. It is not illegal to wish or hope for the death of another. One only needs to think about the beliefs underlying the actions of the KKK (and other white supremacist groups) or the Westboro Baptist Church to see this in various contexts. Disgraceful and disgusting? Certainly. But as long as it's not making a threat, it's protected speech.

I did not hate Death on any Democrat, ever. I was a Bill Clinton Democrat. He closed the US Border under Operation Gatekeeper. Some AGR soldiers from my CAARNG went when I was an E-4 with the 40th MP Co. 40th ID at Los Alamitos. They had NVGs at their LPOPs.

We are dealing with Jay Jones here in VA, running for AG who said he would put two bullets into a Republican colleague and then wished his children dead as well. Unacceptable.

Lt Col Charlie Brown unfortunately there have been many people over the last 10-12 years involved in politics or who otherwise have had influence that have no business being in that position.
