First, they are not refugees as near as I can tell, they are illegal immigrants. They crossed the US border illegally and are in the country illegally. Refugees are part of refugee programs and come in through a program authorized by the US Government. A refugee would be here legally and would have no reason to run. Now it appears they crossed the border illegally into Canada. The story indicated they did not go through border crossing station.

Canada may or may not allow them to stay. This is the type of misinformation that clouds the real issues of immigration, illegal immigration and refugee programs. They are not the same thing. The left continues to conflate them for the purposes of confusing those that do not follow this closely.

What is holding them back? Head north or south, your choice. Heck, check in with ICE they may provide free transportation.

Canada is fairly restrictive to immigration from the USA, but welcomes refugees and immigrants with welcome arms.

Might not be a bad idea for a lot of them to get out while they can and come back the honest way - legally.

True. They all had/have the chance to do it the right way and become citizens, and earn their way, not mooch off the government and its citizens.
