We must come to the realization that Obama care does not work, but not for the reason many people think. There are aspects to the ACA that are fantastic, such ad no pre existing conditions limitations. The problem lies in the fact that you are letting health insurance companies administer the plan. The US is ranked 28th in the world in healthcare. While many people like to us to the Canadian Healthcare System this is not a great match as they are 25th. France and Italy have the #1 and 2 systems in the world. The government runs the process without insurance companies and all are covered. We need to understand that insurance companies have to answer to shareholders, that is their priority not the beneficiary of the plans they sell. Government run healthcare is an option that can work, but for everyone.

Thank you for your reply. While I was very satisfied with the care I received from France under their system (French Guiana, 2004), I was happily outside their tax system. There is always a price to pay, and using history as a guide, I have no confidence our government would break its perfect streak of making things more expensive than the free market.

Col Joseph Lenertz - Sir, I agree about the tax system, but if you look at the numbers they are not really paying much more then we are. My health insurance through my employer is $350 a month. If you add that to what we currently pay in taxes and deductibles you get pretty close to what they pay. As for the propensity of our government to make everything more expensive, you'll get no argument from me there.
