Amen, a branch of the Von Blon Family from Germany started each male child's name with Johann! I finally gave up on that one.

I work on my genealogy constantly through RootsMagic and FamilySearch.

I love the National Archives and love that some resources are accessible online! Used to spend hours at a time in the archives, every few months when nearby. At the time I was mostly accessing census records. But there is so much more when we know what type of information to seek and request! And I always found the folks who work there to be very helpful. Would have spent more time researching, but too much time scrolling the microfische was hard on the eyes. I laugh now when researching anything online, because it's the still same problem . . . a lot of time spent scrolling can do a number on the eyes.
