It took me a very SLOW read of this article to understand that it's addressing the math behind how encryption happens and the fact that the algorithm used in creating a secure connection on the internet has a flaw.

Most encryption these days is broken by social engineering. All the computing power on the planet would take billions of years to brute-force 256-bit encryption.
