In a post several months ago, long forgotten, I mentioned Snow White and the 7dwarves. Have you seen "Doc"?

In Kansas, the sky is filled with the rumble of "Doc" a flying restoration of a B-29, one of the model aircraft that help turn the tide in WWII. And on the radio: "Silver Wings" boy, Doc shines! (And History is important why?)

I spent a lot of time this morning looking at youtubes of this aircraft, the restoration process etc. Glad to see things like this done.

From a purely aesthetic standpoint my favorite is the B-17, but Doc is a beauty.

SGT David Baker they finally declassified some film of my dad from his early bomber pilot days. Those recordings are fascinating as they describe the mission, planning and execution of so many flights.

Lt Col John Christensen, the heavies fly and vet my house daily, fighters over my daughter's. I live by a base and the one time I lived in a more civilian filled community with no military base nearby, I could not sleep. Those jet engines are my lullaby and they go no where without strategic planning and attention to logistics.
