Thank you for the reminder. Restrepo and the follow up movie Korengal are the best war documentaries that outline the difficulties of Afghanistan incredibly well. When I came back to my alma mater after a tour in the Jaji river valley, not far from Korengal, I was able to secure a screening of Restrepo on campus to anyone who wanted to watch. There wasn't a dry eye in the room by the time credits came up. I stayed an extra hour afterwards answering questions about Afghan culture.

SGT Christopher Combs - Army wide? I have no idea. I get as many people as I can to watch it, including up and coming LTs.

@SGT Christopher Combs How did you react to watching the film? No nightmares or flashbacks?

Yes it was not easy for me to actually watch the whole film. I did have a lot of flashbacks of things that happened on a daily basis that I didn't remember until watching it. I have nightmares to this day of some of the things I did and saw..

Thank you for your service and I just wanted to say the documentary Restrepo my job was to train Afghan soldiers along with the help of 2 Marines. We did most of our missions with the 173rd. One of the biggest missions was called Rock Avalanche. It was an everyday firefight on our fob. Day and night.
