Burke, once the second-highest ranking leader in the Navy, was charged by federal prosecutors last year on allegations that he directed a lucrative Navy contract to an executive training company, Next Jump, in 2021 while serving as a four-star admiral. The company later hired him in 2022 for a starting salary of $500,000 per year.

I will never understand SR officers that risk an incredible retirement. I retired as a major and life is good; I cannot imagine retirement as an O-10 and he potentially blundered it all away.

Maj Robert Thornton If he is found guilty he needs to be stripped of his pension and rank plus a huge fine.

If he is stripped of all of that and has a family, what does his wife and children get? I think this guy was a fool and deserves harsh punishment but families grow to depend on military benefits. I especially feel this way towards domestic violence in the military, if the spouse reports the husband, her healthcare, housing, and potentially primary income is gone.

MAJ Byron Oyler - He should have thought about that before getting into bed with those with deep pockets. If this is true they probably have the money stashed somewhere accessible.
