It would be interesting to know what percentage of first responders, paid and volunteer, are actually vets too.

But many, like my youngest son, are not vets, even though he is a military brat. He has a college degree, taught one year, but he wanted something more, something where he could serve. He is now a Sgt with the Atlanta Fire and Rescue.
I have the utmost respect for those that choose to be first responders, veteran or not.
But Jack, I agree, if you did a study, quite a few would be vets.
