I never "hated" the LCS concept, rather it was the haphazard way in which LCS was foisted on the fleet. The Modular design never made sense to me as an engineer, not as a manager. Too many moving parts. Was not a big fan of spending tons of money on unproven designs, when off the shelf designs that were already proven could have been had for much less... I am all for smaller, faster more lethal ships, and am glad to see that they are making their mark. The growing pains seem to be over, and I am pretty sure that the Navy will see some big benefits in the future.

LT Brad McInnis I would not have put you in that bucket, you seem like you are open minded. There just seems like some on RP hate anything new just like the F-35 hatters. A lot of the issues with the DoD weapons system procurement are a result of the political landscape of not having a budget. Remember we have not had an approved defense budget for over 8 years.

LCDR (Join to see) - Just venting. Saw way too much waste on crap as an Engineer. I am totally with you on the procurement process. Many here on RP, don't want to believe that is a problem... Oh well.

Based on performance to date put me in the "in doubt" category. Hate is a rather strong word, but as with all major investments in technology, it will be modified and modified until it meets the needs of the service. Unless we actually use these ships in ship to ship combat, there will be doubts.
