I was in so much pain that my doctor at the time decided I was catatonic, I was in so umuch pain I couldn't scream, . Couldn't. Move.

I had that done bilateral. I hope that the years have made this a less painful procedure, it took me 4 years of intense physical therapy to have an opposable thumb

I didn't know that the procedure was already in use here. Perhaps some variant could help reverse or slow down your MG? My boss at the last scuba shop developed sudden onset MG quite unexpectedly and succumbed to it a few years later.
