We must study everyone, even Hitler. How can we learn from their mistakes if we ignore them? One more item: If we tear down our heroes because they had feet of clay, there will be no heroes left. Not one. Start with those in the Bible, some of the earliest. Moses, Noah, David, Solomon, every one of them are venerated for their achievements and yet we are reminded that they weren't gods by their failures.
