SPC Joshua Blotzer this is very sad. I was a fan of All in the Family in the 1970s and the movies listed to his credit. The oddity of it is the same as Gene Hackman and his wife. Very sad.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin well yes, the stabbing looks like murder. Gene Hackman, the last article I read , was suspicious, with theories, unless it has a named cause.

Hackman died of heart disease complicated by advanced Alzheimer's about a week after his wife, Betsy Arakawa (who was taking care of him), died from hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. Their bodies, along with a dead dog, were discovered by a worker on February 26, 2025, with investigators determining Arakawa likely succumbed to the rare rodent-borne illness, leaving Hackman alone in the house for days before his own passing, potentially unaware.

Like PO3 Phyllis Maynard I find this strange and reflective of Hackman and his wife...another chapter of Hollywood's past is closed.

Lt Col Charlie Brown well said. This is what I was trying to articulate. You have to look behind what looks explainable.

A sad ending to his life. He directed some great movies.
