Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (Original Footage) 1969

This is one of my favorite songs. Roberta Flack does by far the best rendition. The song was written as a bet/challenge from folk musician Ewan MacCol for his lover Peggy Seeger around 1957. It has been covered by Kingston Tro, Peter Paul and Mary, Chad Mitchell , Johnny Cash ( if you don’t mind your ears hurting the Johnny Cash version is fun) and many others. I think RobertFlack did the best rendition.
