Robin Williams on fatherhood

I met Robin and Richard Pryor on a tour of Alcatraz of all things. Richard was in poor shape by that point and everyone on the tour realized that this was one last trip between friends. We all respected their privacy and allowed them to enjoy the trip. On the boat ride back, Robin did a set of all of us, and I don't remember laughing as hard in my life. He was a true friend, comedic genius and really good person.

He was struggling with a lot of demons and then I think his illness was the last straw for him
