Plus the restaurant owners don't have to worry about robots unionizing. Personally I think it's a mistake favoring robots over humans.

When you can't get people to work you have to find a way to still make the food. This will help a small portion of restaurants and we will definitely see these take off in the fast food world. A robot can never replace a Chef's inspiration or ideas to make new and wonderful food combinations.

I agree and disagree. I see it as a way for a certain style of restaurant to make food more efficiently. There will still need to be some people to take care of the robots. A robot will never be able to take the place of a Chef's inspiration to create new and amazing foods.

The biggest problem is decision making when things are off the "program'. For example, there was a chess robot recently that grabbed and broke a 7-year old's finger. (Most likely he had it in the wrong place, the robot grabbed it, boy struggles and robot breaks it trying to put the "piece" in the right place. Same problem with self driving cars. And a kitchen has a LOT of dangerous objects that people get hurt by often, anyway. And then there are hackers.... But, fast food is one of the places that teens and other entry-level folks could get a job, some experience with the work force, start saving money, etc. And now that possibility will be (could be) being taken away.
Just my thoughts.
Just my thoughts.

I do not disagree with you that it could be dangerous from certain aspects. But everything has an inherent danger in it. The inherent danger is something we accept just living life. We can choose to take the necessary steps to make things as safe as we can. Technology is going to change and get better/worse as we go.
