We are years away from AUTONOMOUS robots on the battlefield. Otherwise, what's the difference between a robot & a drone? Other than semantic content? Nothing...

I agree that a truly autonomous solution is a long ways off for the US DOD. That being said- I wonder how "we" are prepared to counter if other nations/entities are developing and attempting to field the technology. It will be interesting to see over the next few years.

SFC A- it certainly is a thought provoking question! I think there is likely an appropriate lane for the technology although the controls and execution of the tech could probably be debated for years.
