Okay I was only able to find one video and it didn’t get to the point of the spraying but after having read the story and watching what I did I could see it coming.
The responding officer was doing a great job until the mother interjected herself out on the street and then with whomever was in the cars. The mother should have kept her ass at home and let the officer handle it. The daughter freaked after the mom started in, especially with the car’s.
Could it have been handled differently, possibly but under what was shown I thought the responding officer did pretty good. He probably should have walked away after the female officer got there and was dealing with the child so he could cool off and maybe go deal with the mom and figure out what the deal was with the dad, but there again Monday quarterbacking.
From experience there were a couple times that I have had to put teenagers in a hogtie position with hand and ankle cuffs for there own safety. It’s never something you want to do and something you hate doing at the time and after the fact but you do what you have to at the time.

Yeah, this may have been a bit over the line. But, having lived through pepper spray, these things happen when you kick at police. It seems a bit harsh, but it's easy to Monday morning quarterback these things. I likely would have chosen a different approach, but then again, I wasn't there.

The cops were probably "scared for their lives" and "just wanted to go home to their families..."

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff
SPC Louis McClure - They got called because she was making suicidal ideations. The cops shouldn't have been called at all. They apparently started a crisis response team of some sort...but they weren't called.
